One of the hardest things in life is walking miles in high heels stilettoes all while raising four kids, flipping and restoring homes in dilapidated neighborhoods for pennies on the dollar, all because you’re a woman working in a male-dominated arena. At first glance, people see the feminine side and therefore second guess your ability until you prove them otherwise. My point is that overcoming obstacles in life is inevitable so get ready to hurdle over or run through them. No matter what your circumstance or your situation, you can control your outcome. Sometimes overcoming difficulties takes accepting help from people outside your spheres of community, and that is where Heels and Ties come into play. We strive to build a community of individuals who mentor the youth, not excluding but including family togetherness as a core value.
Family is the heartbeat of any community, and we believe that by strengthening family bonds, we can build stronger individuals who are equipped to overcome their own hurdles. We understand that the path to success isn't always linear and that it takes a collective effort to make progress.
